Podcasts are one of the largest knowledge bases in the world. But due to the nature of audio, it is inherently difficult to highlight your favorite moments and take notes. This is one of the main reasons we decided to build the Snipd podcast app. Our mission is to enable everyone to discover, highlight & take notes from the best moments in podcasts leveraging AI & OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Several podcasts offer transcripts of each episode on their websites. However, with over 2 million shows out there and most listeners subscribed to on average over 6 different shows (stats from Podcast Insight), it feels almost impossible and incredibly tedious to listen to your favorite shows and to find and compile their transcripts for notetaking, whatever your workflow may be. As avid podcast listeners ourselves, we wanted to solve this efficiently and meaningfully with Snipd. Snipd is a podcast player that uses AI to create transcripts for podcast episodes that you can follow along as you listen. The app will also generate chapters for you so you can have a better overview of what is being discussed in the episode. To give you a better idea of how this works, I’ll take you through how I listen to one of my favorite shows on Snipd with transcripts.
